Love Never Leaves

by Beautiful Chaos   Feb 10, 2010

Why oh why, can dear, sweet love not be found?
Are these eyes too old and blind to see it?
Is this weak mind too lost or somewhere bound?
Sinking in the darkness we now emit.

Souls dripping into chaos like water,
Ripples turning to waves that surge and purge,
Cleansing heart wrenching cries of the slaughter,
Awakening reality, we merge.

Love was not lost to me, for it was I,
Who abandoned love, casting it away,
Throwing myself into pity to die,
Forgetting love's strength inside me each day.

Love cannot leave us, it's born in the heart,
When it's done beating, it's us who depart.

These are my favorite lines, "Love was not lost to me, for it was I,
Who abandoned love, casting it away,
Throwing myself into pity to die,
Forgetting love's strength inside me each day."
