Another Year

by InterviewWithTheKat   Feb 15, 2010

This isn't something I owe you
More; something I owe the world.

You

You had the prettiest eyes.

Brown pools of warm mahogany,
Full of feeling
Full of love
Full of my smile, reflected on the surface
Of those brown pools of warm mahogany.

My face tingles when I think of you
My cheeks feel heavy
And my eyes feel weak.

Throat tight
Breath slow.

God, I loved you.

I've changed my mind.
I owe the world nothing.

I owed you the world.

I still do.

-------------------------------

Year four.
I still think of you everyday.
I miss you, Kasey.
