May You

by Tripp   Feb 27, 2010

A union bound by love to never perish
auspicious amalgamation - absolu Au naturale
matrimonial love, may you always be cherished
connubial conglomeration - to last en perpetuale!

Golden sand in the hourglass flows
It falls like effervescent rain, and the storm never slows
The jewels of light are always falling...cascading
Each one a unique second, yet they're always fading

...Should it caramelize into purest ivory
or the opposite of this fateful dichotomy
Appreciate the beauty of your darkest ebony
for each is precious and once lost...
absolutely beyond recovery

May your kisses brush as lightly as Cupid's feathers
May you together revere your precious seconds spent together

For the moments drift down like fireflies
Every today is yesterday's tomorrow
Brevity is their name, then they die
So be grateful, no matter where the light goes

Time is immaterial; as it bleeds it can never be recovered
Treasure what is real; precious moments together you have captured

So espoused family of mine...
live for each other, for the moment, for the day
Carpe Diem so that tomorrow you may do the same
