Blissful Thinking

by Indian Comma Bean   Mar 2, 2010

Dragonfly eyes spark lanterns
On noir mirrors
Ruinous to lunar escapades;
Bullet shell tears smoke upon
The pane of delusion,
A foe so often loathed
For fleeting glimpses
Of conniving shadows left
To cackle in illusion.
Eyes capture light, pupils
Cringing, apertures in a world
to dark for blood to blossom,
A tear for sweet minds to wither,
Fear for ill fated lips to pledge.
Fervid souls scream,
Stealing stars to fledge ambition
To the depths of inspiration
Falling quick upon malicious slumber;
A siren's song for utopia,
So boisterous it seems.
