I Hate That (Look In Your Eyes)

by Some Random Human   Mar 6, 2010

I really thought we stood a chance,
at making this forever never ending,
I really thought we'd work it out,
but I guess that we were just pretending,
'cause now you've turned your back,
and you don't care about this nightmare,
so I'm left here on my own,
I scream "This isn't fair", but you're not there,

I hate that look in your eyes,
it tells me you are gone,
it tells me you've moved on,
I hate that look in your eyes,
it tells me I was wrong,
it softly says, "So long",

So I saw you just yesterday,
you seemed content, and I resent,
the fact that I wasn't good enough,
the love I sent, was useless flint,
it never could start a flame,
and now I shiver, won't you deliver,
me from this anxiety,
my knees quiver, my heart's a sliver,

I hate that look in your eyes,
it tells me you are gone,
it tells me you've moved on,
I hate that look in your eyes,
it tells me I was wrong,
it softly says, "So long",

I hate that look in your eyes,
it tells me you are gone,
I hate that look in your eyes,
it tells me you've moved on,

Now I'm left here with this picture,
but a thousand words just aren't enough,

I hate that look in your eyes,
it tells me you are gone,
it tells me you've moved on,
I hate that look in your eyes,
it tells me I was wrong,
it softly says, "So long",

I hate that look in your eyes...
