In My Very Own Dreams

by K a u r u   Mar 7, 2010

Watching them laughing just breaks me,
knowing I'm not apart of their joy.
It's so complicated to express how I feel,
when there is nothing to really say.

Looking up at the sky, watching the clouds move,
I feel in a place that attracts me to it.
Closing my eyes and dreaming of all new things,
pretending that my life couldn't be.

Never wanting to stop dreaming of this fairy tale,
knowing when I open my eyes it'll all be gone.
I'm not wanted in this world it seems,
so just let me make my own up in the stars.

Even if the world is so cruel to me,
I will treasure this new one cradling me so tight.
Voices speak to me and make me giggle,
all alone, yet so fulfilled and content.

Something just has to be better than nothing,
when you can't lose anymore.
This is my new home, and welcomed place to be.
A great new place in my own dreams.

Enjoyed reading this. At times when the world is cruel to us, our dreams are the best place to be, a place we can feel needed and wanted. Well done.
