Your Photos

by Shantel   Mar 11, 2010

I keep your photos in a drawer
'cause that's where they belong.
You make me feel right,
But everything about you's wrong.
You confuse me, you use me,
But you're oh so charming.
And when I decide to pursue you
Your ways become disheartening.
You're sweet, you're mysterious,
You're an all around bad guy.
Your lips are so desirable
But there's danger in your eyes.
You're a different breed,
Unlike any other I've met.
I wanna get close
But I don't do regret.
And on a scale of 1-10
You're obviously a 9,
But I can't help but think
That this may be a waste of time.
You're perfectly imperfect.
You're a freaking cliche!
I'm willing to let my guard down,
But you have to meet me halfway.
You're a roller coaster my friend.
You keep spinning me around.
I don't know if you're my prince charming,
Or a dark knight to drag me down.
You make me feel dizzy.
Sometimes I wanna shout.
But I finally give up
I'll never figure you out.
See what I'm trying to say is
I love the way you are
But I gotta keep my heart from breaking
So I'll keep your photos in my drawer.
