TIME

by Shantel   Aug 4, 2010

I think it's time.
Time for me to pack my metaphorical bags
And get the hell out of this place.
Time for me to grow wings and learn how to fly
And leave this terrible place.
Time for me to man up,
And become a woman.
Time for me to slow down this life I've been living.
Time for me to grow.
Now there's no such thing as living too fast or too slow
But when my time comes I wanna watch where it goes
Cause I still wanna be alive when I'm getting old.
I don't know bout you but see my time's pretty sweet
And imma enjoy it while I can on two feet.
Share a little with everyone that I meet.
Cause I wanna make 'em smile while I smile
Make 'em know their time is worthwhile
That living life is not a crime
So cheer up cause we don't got the time,
To be frowning that is
Happiness is not just for kids
Though we work to pay bills,
We still gotta live
So we put a price on our time
And let anyone buy it
We act like there's an endless supply in our closet
Just $9.99 plus tax and deposit
Will get you a 2 day supply of time as we call it
If that was true then we would never die
No more flowers at graves or tears in our eyes
No more sad little poems or heart wrenching goodbyes
Cause everyone would have what they want and need : TIME.
