Lost Love (Quatrain)

by Ş∂ņďħy∂   Jun 17, 2004

Drowned in thoughts of us
I was sitting by the beach
Growing in loneliness
Nothing left in my reach

We had played on the same beach
And sat by the coast
Staying in each other's reach
Never wanting to be lost

Now I am left on this coast
Scribbling on the sand alone
Watching the sun getting lost
Like my life's love had gone

How did I become alone?
Why did this silence arise?
Why the good days have gone?
Why we did this sacrifice?

Why did these waves arise?
Couldn't they swipe my grief?
We were demanded this sacrifice
Which made our love to brief

I don't want to stay in grief
But I keep coming to this beach
Life is not that brief
Still I want my love at reach

(Quatrain are poems which follow a particular rhyming scheme. I have used abab. It can be abba, aabb, likewise)
