Hope

Shadows slowly creep up, fear erupts in every corner
Bombs blast, chaos starts, a stampede fires in a blur
Tears whelm up, screaming ruptures, beings vanish
Raging, rumbling, the beings' fate is to banish.

Throughout the mist, a huddled figure whimpers
Lingering in the air, a cloud of whispers
In a dark corner, nothing but great despair
Do the whispers shadow the sub-figure in a pair.

Scared, alone in the depths of shambles
The sub-figure attempts to stand and tumbles
By the shadows hissing to the perished heart
"You are nothing but a name written on a chart."

"Stop! Stop!" says the shattered soul
Moaning, shaking, crawling back into its hole
Huddling tightly, listening to every turn
The pendulum moves with no return.

A voice murmurs softly "Why will you allow
These creatures of darkness to plow?"
Startled, confused, the realization slowly be-sprinkles
The vacuous flesh, overwhelming the tiny wrinkles.

"No!" the first says, "Don't!" says the twin
"Without us, you will never ever win
We tell you the truth of what those
Beings think of you with every dose."

"Don't listen to the whispers," buzzes the voice
Present in the being's head without a single choice
"You are stronger than them, you are!
You can save yourself, you can raise the bar!"

The raging war between the two went from and to
Sick and tired a force inside the battered heart leisurely grew
A form of hope and exhilaration burned brightly
A power of great force lit ever so slightly.

"I'm not going to listen to anyone
I shall be my own self, my own sun."
Standing up, the young girl absorbs the belief
That her path unfolds to a new start, a new leaf.
