Lost In Your Own Skin

by FindingHarmonyInYurCries   Apr 8, 2010

There's a story to be told,
But where to begin?
There's so much tragedy,
When your lost in your own skin.

You look in a mirror,
And can't begin to understand.
Who's staring back at you,
Or what they might have planned.

You can watch a sunset,
But what emotion will you wear?
There's so many to choose from,
But you don't even care.

You want to start crying,
With no idea why.
You'll cut and you'll bleed,
And you'll simply want to die.

You feel so alone,
Standing with a group of friends.
You'll want to run from them,
Escape and find the end.

You hold so much pain,
Despite the time passed.
And you'll never let it go,
For death is creeping up fast.

So go and find yourself a smile,
And make sure it's a perfect fit.
You can't look like the fake you are,
For society loves to nit pick.

    Great work, my dead.

If only people could truly smile.
