Delicate Surrendering

by Stephanie   Apr 23, 2010

Time lapses on, whilst the sunshine dances around my toes,
Dancing so perfectly - the warmth feels so beautiful, dear.
My heart is beating soundly through your fingertips;
Your velvet touch is surrounding, never far, always near.

Chocolate brown is clenched with hazel,
Chained into the depths these eyes hold.
Openly reading the passion that rests there,
The passion that the soul only bares for one.

We lay in this grass, legs entwined together so lovely,
And the world never felt so optimistic inside my heart.
A blessed love grew on the delicate trees all around us,
And like little children we plucked the brightest leaves.

Bright leaves of so many shining shades,
Softly waiting for a hand to come across,
To pluck it gently, and cherish it, and love it.
Despite the harsh winter that it may encounter.

So let's pluck some more bright leaves and wish for another year in each other's hearts.
