Being Alone

Today
There was a point
Where I felt I should cry
Because I can't trust

Today
I realized
There is no one left
To cry on

Today
Another fact of life
Shoved itself in my face

In the end
When you're down and out
No one is gonna be there

In the middle
When you just need someone
To rest on
No one is gonna be there

In the beginning
When you just need a leg up
You're gonna have to
Fight your hardest
To get it

There won't be moping
If you're gonna make it
There's expression of thoughts
In healthier ways

Crying has no point
If there's no one to care.

Just as happiness is only real when shared
So is sadness.

I'm not saying I can get that leg up
On my own
I need other people
But it's my job to make sure
I get those kind of people
In my life

Today's lesson is: Suck it up and deal.
