You're bland.

by dancing in the dark   May 14, 2010

Normality, commonality, uniformity
You're compared to a stale coat of off white paint.
I try to paint over you, but you always find a way to expose yourself to me.
Repeatedly I tell you you're taking up to much space

Your mind is damned, dazed and confused
I wish I could lend you an ear to listen, and eyes to watch over you
But I am different, nothing compared to society's understanding.

Advance your horizons, let yourself be free
You're an inattentive clone, copied like the rest, who are you?
Are you a man of amorous charm?
Will you sweep me off my feet and rescue me from worriment?

If you were to escape, escape from the eyes of falsity
My intention would be thorough
Adventuresandjourneys we would acquire
I can really show you what the world has to offer.
