The Toy

by Dustin S   May 16, 2010

Nobody knows, just how I feel,
From the depths of emotion, to my appeal,
I tried and tried, but cannot seal,
This realm of mine, that I wish was real.

Stealing away my heart and then my joy,
One love after another, it begins to annoy,
But soldiers cannot break, strength they must deploy,
Its like a strategic game, and we are the Toy.

No longer will I stand for this,
The snake is startled, and beginning to hiss.
I'll stand up, I pray I don't miss,
Because I don't want to meet, a venomous kiss.

From nice and clean, to brutal and mean,
There isn't enough feeling, to keep this keen.
I've witnessed it all, and remember all I've seen,
And ever since then, those memories have been...

Stealing away my heart and then my joy,
One love after another, it begins to annoy,
But soldiers cannot break, strength they must deploy,
Its like a strategic game, and we are the Toy.
