Realizing how bad its gotten.

In those last moments did you wish you could go back.
Did you wish someone was coming to save you
Or was it comforting to know it was over

Was that last breath like the breath you take when come up from a deep pool
Was it peaceful
Was it beautiful
Or was it terrifying
I met someone once
She tried. And in those last minutes she freaked out
She ran and cried to the nurse
And the nurse called the ambulance
And they saved her
Afterwards
She felt like a whimp
She felt pathetic

Did you wanna run and cry for help
Or were to embarrassed
Or were you completely and wholey okay with death?
There had to have been a moment you questioned it
One moment that you thought of your family
One moment that you thought of your friends
One moment that you thought of the possibility that you might just be surrounded by darkness forever

At least
I have those moments
Those moments that stop me.
Those moments that others say have saved me
But sometimes
That little girl
Who cried to the nurse
Comes sneaking up
And she whispers in my ear
And she tells me Im pathetic
Im a whimp
And I need to do it.
