Anywhere but here

I wish I was on holiday
Close to the sun and sand
But now I am studying
Stuck in rainy Scotland.

I wish I could drive a car
I`d go somewhere far away
Just to escape these surroundings
Even for a few days.

I wish I could skip this month
For the exams are making me not sleep
I often feel bored and tired
And my body is feeling weak.

I wish it was the middle of July
Carefree and able to shout
As I just want my summer holidays
With people I love and care about.
