The Knight in Black Armour

by Shaded Sunrise   Jun 7, 2010

Armour black as night,
Glinting from moons light,
Sits upon a horse of shadow,
Echoing, breath shallow,
Power for fight not flight.

The knight raised his sword
Out from his mouth came a tension filled chord
As the ground was painted red
No words were said
As the ghostly knight claimed his reward

Dawn approached with sickening speed
And so the knight took off with his steed
All the people however did not know
Whether they did owe
The knight that killed the demons
And destroyed their homes.
