Praying for Rain

by Timothy   Jul 17, 2010

I remember a girl,
With life she was so in love,
This girl in photographs,
The prime example of the dove.

I can still see this boy,
Who jumped at the very sight of her;
This boy in old movies,
The paramour dazzled by the allure.

But time's wheel has trekked on,
The beauty of the garden wains;
This girl, this boy,
Are praying for rain.
