Blind Sided

by Elyse H.   Jul 18, 2010

Blind-Sided

As I Drive
Hypnotized by the open road
Headlights blind
Angst intertwines inside my mind

As I hide
Running further from this time
I find
Memories travel faster than desire

Look behind
Mirrors enhance misery
My eyes
Lose sight of what's in front of me

Passing signs
Hints of where I'm supposed to be
I collide
Past and future lie on both sides of me

I'm tired
History takes precedent over sleep
I've tried
Worry seeks me out in my dreams
