The forest's edge

by Ezra   Jul 25, 2010

Forest quiet,
Flower silent
The stars shine down
In the cloudless skies
As the winds gently sing a lullaby
I sigh and sit
A shadow watches my every move
I watch the stares then place my head upon my knees
Now I'm at peace
Now I can sleep
As long as the winds make the trees
Sing their lullaby
As long as the stars shine down
As long as my shadowed friend is close
Here at my the forest edge
I am happy here
I am a happy child
So long as I am here.
