Shooting Star

by Syrus   Aug 1, 2010

Summer nights are fleeting
With every breath I'm bleeding
Emotions and reason,
Laughter and tears,
Struggles and success,
As I let you into my shattered mind
You took me from the world I knew,
You carried me away from sweet sorrow,
Stole my heart and broke through,
Killing the impossible, the improbable.

My stomach begins to quiver,
A sensation rises through my lungs,
Wraps around my soul,
And fills my mind to the brim (I can't help but smile)
Could this be the end of all I know?
Tearing this pattern to pieces,
Bringing back what I thought was lost, (You found me...)

You're my dream come true, a fantasy,
My 11:11, my shooting star in this catastrophe,
Lighting up my eyes,
But I can't see you tonight...
So here I am, back to one again,
Day dreaming of us.
Behind large clouds,
You're out there somewhere,
I know you're shooting by,
So that I can wish upon you once more,
To hold you in my arms, mi amor
