A Father's Love

by Farther From Here   Aug 7, 2010

I am a traveler
and I can say that I've seen,
the most beautiful girl
of all the lands.

She had a dazzling smile,
eyes that shone with the light of the sun.
She had a soft laugh,
echoing throughout my sorrows.

She was a goddess of simple pleasures.
She was the radiance of my days.
She was most beautiful, in many ways
just like how I hoped her to be.

In this world of grim sorrow,
there is only she.
I've traveled all over
just to find thee.

I love her all the more,
simply for being be.
I love her all the more,
because she has found me.

I have seen the most beautiful girl,
through her gentle hands so small, so fragile.
In this world of unending grief,
there is only she.
