Traveling the World

by Farther From Here   Aug 21, 2010

I've seen beautiful girls
with skin so white and fair.
I've traveled the world,
and find them most everywhere.

I've seen smiles so kind,
and with faces so mild.
I've been traveling the world
with the innocence of a child.

I've seen blue skies so clear,
and with no clouds in sight,
I've been traveling the world
in hopes of unparalleled flight.

I've seen children who laugh,
aired with angels that sing.
I've been traveling the world,
and I've seen most everything.

But in a flash it all burned down
right in front of me.
I've been traveling the world,
hoping someday I would see.

No more of those blessed days,
back in the place I had once lived.
I've been traveling the world,
wishing my life would just be short-lived.

Because I've seen most of everything,
and lost it all as well.
I've been traveling the world
hoping someday my heart won't swell.

I've been dying inside,
to find the people I've loved.
Now they've all died and gone,
leaving me so unloved.

I've been traveling the whole world
with a dying heart.
Please aide me from my woes,
and just let me part.
