Bridge of Sighs

by Millions   Aug 11, 2010

The arch that holds above us
A limb from one castle to the next
A web from your heart to mine
Rain falls all around.
You tell me the story,
tell me the name,
The Bridge of Sighs.
And with paralyzing innocence we gaze up,
at this Bridge of Sighs,
this arch of ours.
The golden bricks mould from one to many
and with unseeming brilliance rise and fall above us.
This Bridge of Sighs,
This bridge of ours.
I can feel the love coming from your heart,
It touches my eyes and lips and ears.
It surrounds me,
Your surround me,
Just like this bridge of ours.
