It takes two

by Millions   Aug 11, 2010

I'm thinking there must be a reason,
that you can't look me in the eyes.
And if you were as over me, as you seem to like to say,
You wouldn't be shaking in front of me right now.
Maybe it's the way you act like nothing's wrong,
I wish you would scream at me instead.
And if you think it's all my fault, why are you the one who looks so guilty?

It takes two people to break two hearts,
When looking back on those two years, sometimes it's hard to remember that.
If it means you would forgive me, I'd take the blame for everything.
If you could only understand, the rivers, mountains, seas and land,
I'd cross to be your girl again.

We've been sitting here way too long, with fake words and acting smiles.
You're flaunting the girl on your arm, like a Smith & Western aimed at me,
I remember not to long ago, how we really used to be.
The jaded memories you have of fights & fears & tears,
are faded memories i have of love & years & dears

I'm pretty sure it takes two people to break two hearts,
But for a conversation, I'd accept the blame.
I'd do anything, to be your girl again.
