I watched my life flash before my eyes
this was it, this was finally the end of my life
i took a step
with each step closer
closer to the edge
i looked down at the empty air below me
i crouched down and stretched my hand out
the wind whistled through my fingers
it was warm, comforting, almost loving
i stood back up
i knew it was time to jump
so i turned around and took one last glance at my life
and then, without thinking twice, i turned around
took a breath and leaped.
i slowly opened my eyes
i felt his hand in my hair, the other on the small of my back, his lips on mine
i had taken a leap
a gamble on our friendship
and he had stretched out his arms
and caught me.
