Revaluation

by Kayl   Aug 28, 2010

I'm being smart, no longer playing a part.
I loved you lots, I love you still
but what is love but a word or a thrill?

Something I say to make me feel better. I think it's the fact that I'll always care, I'll always get butterflies when I hear your name or see your face. I tell myself it's nothing.

But what is nothing?

People say nothing lasts forever, why won't you be my nothing?

We said a lot of things, none of them stick.
You have a lot of girls in your life, I guess you can take your pick.

Choose wisely, since I'm already gone.
Far away from you, I plan to run.
I want to run and hide away forever. Distance will only due.

It's like I want you, but then i want nothing to do with you. Apparently you like the game now.

So play your game, toss that coin
hope you get lucky tonight with that stray.

I'll try to remember the good things, but only on certain days. No more thoughts, I want you to be a distant memory.

A memory that won't last forever, since nothing lasts forever.

It's a revaluation of sorts.
