I can't say I didn't see it coming,
that it would happen again,
the I would never be able to call you a friend.

I tried my best,
I fought the fight.
I laid my demons to rest,
and tried to forget with all my might.

We never seem to make it right
no matter what our status be,
You hold a death grip, tight.
I just want to go back to me.

I can't find my way back,
I'm stuck like glue.
Can't get back on track,
Always thinking of you.

So I can't say I didn't see this coming,
it's been like this from the start,
I hear the drumming,
of my heart.

I wish you cared a little more for me,
and a little less about yourself.
