Lassitude

by prejudice is the child of ignorance   Aug 31, 2010

Energy energy on you flow
Hurry hurry we all must go
Stretch your arms around me so
But youll never reach so just let go
Of all the dreams you once had cherished
Of all the hopes that ruffled your imaginations feathers
And caused you to thrive and bloom;
Let your mind soar like the wind through Dawns hair
Kiss those memories goodbye
For what once you had,
You will never have again
Until you innovate a twisted version of emotion
Drive yourself a little past your limit and never look back
And stay there to platue
Waiting for the cycle to repeat
Further and further you go, young Icarus
You never learned your lesson
Now youll learn it the hard way
As you discover that you slowly begin to give out
As some new force takes over,
Youre well past your limit,
I present to you:
Lassitude
