I Drive Alone

by Carmen   Oct 22, 2010

Sometimes,
I like to drive with all my windows down
and let the warm breeze blow my ringlets in my face.
I like the music loud,
but soft enough to hear the world outside.
I like driving down an old, empty road,
with nowhere to go.
I like it when it rains
and the water crashing on my windshield
is louder than my music.
Sometimes,
I have a drive to do something,
and all of me wants to do it,
but no part of me knows how.
I like making people happy,
but I’m clueless when it comes to myself.
Sometimes,
I like to drive alone,
but I really wouldn't mind your company.
