Hopeless

by Carmen   Oct 28, 2010

Pearls draped across your chest,
hair strewn across your face,
sad eyes stare back at you from the mirror,
searching for something,
hope, maybe.
Skin pale,
breathing slowly,
heart beating
slow.
You can barely stand.
Bags under eyes,
raw throat,
fingertips frozen.
You rest your head against walls,
walls that trap you,
tear you down.
