Nkosi, Lord

by Janet   Dec 3, 2010

At the beat of silence
In the quiet place
Where Mercy is no more
And peace is only but a part of my imagination;

'Nkosi, Lord,' shall i sing.

As we your children move to a rhythm,
Our faith unbending
Our singing, our dancing un-ending

Nkosi, Lord we cry to you.

With one heart,
One mind,
We bow before you.

See them, the broken rise up,
Look yonder as the wicked fall.
For in you a promise was made;
"If I am for you, who can be against you?"

Victory! Victory! we cry!
"cause the enemy has been defeated,
And death couldn't hold me down,
I'm gonna lift my voice in victory
And make my praises loud."
