The Bitter Taste of Smiles

by Waliid   Dec 22, 2010

Reminiscence of old times

thinking of your smiles

which said everything was all right

perhaps they were just lies.

Smiles that made me believe that you care

Smiles that you dare

to make when you could just stare.

I could feel it in my mind

I could taste it with my mouth

All the bitter love that it was

But your smiles were showing otherwise.

Maybe this is what you always wanted

That the emptiness you created

will be seen just like an illusion

Those Smiles that made people believe

Those Smiles that brought people on their Knees

Those Smiles too perfect to be real

Are just like poison to me

An intoxication of the mind

A hallucination that the eyes only perceive

A Bitter taste that the heart can feel

Your Fake Smiles...
