Raindrops

by Mr Rhee   Dec 29, 2010

Look, look!
Look at the raindrops come down.
Down upon my cheeks,
like fine tears from my eyes.
These raindrops, cool on my skin.
Warm on my soul.

Shades of gray, white, pink,
and cool lavender.
Colors of mixed and broken rainbows.
A soft palette for those
who love to cry.

Raindrops, raindrops,
falling, and splashing, all around me.
They are all that I can see.
The sound of liquid heartbeats,
calming the anxiety within my soul.

My face is wet,
and my hair is soaked.
I can't feel my clothing anymore.
Thunders have rolled away,
and my heart is soothed.

All of the angers and visions
are washed away now.
I breathe, and the air
feels good in my chest.
I think I'm better now.

Raindrops, raindrops.
Thank you for your kindness.
You've somehow washed
my world anew.
And this is good.

I look out into the world,
and it is a beautiful place.
I imagine Heaven to be
so much more of this.
This paradise is mine.
