Sleep inside my heart

by Poet on the Piano   Dec 30, 2010

There is a door
disconnected
from watchmen
and guest lists,
arousing an old
yet freer flame.

I have no keys
upon a string
nor breathless locks
only parting
our windswept ballad.

At the full moon
I meander among
vines and berries
hoping you will
answer my seek.

This passageway
into enchantment
is a wonderland
without idioms
of the simpler kind.

For our love
blazes the longest
and dances deeply,
stirring content
dusk interludes.

What a beautiful poem! Your wording is amazing and you always mange to make short and meaningful stanzas without dragging and grumbling on... like me... :)

    Love this piece too.
