I Know I Won't Forget

by Megan   Dec 30, 2010

Taking walks around the lake,
Through the woods
Leading to our favorite escape.
You'd hold my hand
As we crossed the bridge
'Cause God forbid I'd ever slip
And fall.
Not like you'd lose me at all.

Remember when
I was yours and you were mine,
And we talked all of the time?
The way we laughed,
The way we loved,
And still we never had enough
Of each other.
Remember when?
I know I won't forget.

I knew you
And you knew me.
I let you in and you lost the key.
We fell in love
Waist deep.
And you still didn't lose me.

Remember when
I was yours and you were mine,
And we talked all of the time?
The way we laughed,
The way we loved,
And still we never had enough
Of each other.
Remember when?
I know I won't forget.

No I won't
Let the passion go
For naught.
All the firsts we shared
Were always by love brought.
It doesn't matter how often we fought.

Remember when
I was yours and you were mine,
And we talked all of the time?
The way we laughed,
The way we loved,
And still we never had enough
Of each other.
Remember when?
I know I won't forget.

And I'll never regret those nights home alone,
The late night talks on the phone,
My fingers running through your hair,
And all the secrets that we shared.
I won't forget,
Won't regret,
Can't believe the kind of ending,
Stephen I am not pretending.

Remember when I said no regrets?
I know I won't forget.
