Knife

by Hollow Face   Jan 17, 2011

Your games, I played them.
Your lies, I believe them.

If your "I love you" was a joke
then why did you even say it?
If your love for me wasn't true,
then why did you have to fake it?

You held my hand and broke my heart
you walked away, I fell apart.
you are the reason I can't move on
you are the reason I can't be strong.

you scarred me for life but I'm not blaming you
I was the fool that walked into the arms of a person who had a knife.

Here are my suggestions to make the poem more appealing to the reader.

    Your games, I played them.
    Your lies, I believe them.

then why did you even say it?
If your love for me wasn't true,
then why did you have to fake it?

You held my hand and broke my heart
you walked away, I fell apart.
you are the reason I can't move on
you are the reason I can't be strong.

you scarred me for life but I'm not blaming you

A poem were many can relate to, unfortunately, this happens to many people. We think we found the right one, but it turns out we were wrong.
