Sadness

by Skyfire   Jan 22, 2011

Snowy sadness filling up
the shallow cavities from which
fall shattered glass, like
solemn funeral songs, going
going lost.
Gently, stars slip behind
black curtains, every window
shadowed, shaded,
covered.
No birds fly here.
