Time Kills

When I heard the news,
that this world had lost you,
I just didn't know what I should say,
and with this loss of words,
in my mind so much is heard,
but my lips just can't seem to find a way,

They say that time will heal,
but instead it's standing still,
and I don't know why you were taken from this life,

and I don't think I can make it through this night,

You were always very kind,
never hatred in your mind,
and I don't see how this world can carry on,
because it's not the same,
and now when I hear your name,
my heart is breaking because you are gone,

Now I'm praying for a change,
because I cannot stand this pain,
but God has got His reasons, I guess,
but I just cannot see why,
He had to take you from this life,
I don't agree with Him this time, now I confess,
