Not Much Time.

by Caitlyn   Feb 21, 2011

I'm running out of time,
losing my breath.
My vision is blurry,
and my eyes are heavy.

Not much time left,
before I go down.

My bones become brittle,
my knees are weak.
My hands quiver,
as my palms sweat.

Not much time left,
before I lose myself.

I can't see much,
I'm so light headed.
Spinning around,
Until I collapse.

Not much time left,
before I change.

Pale skin,
and tired eyes.
Reaching out for someone,
there is nothing to grab.

Not much time left,
before I feel utterly alone.

Sitting in a corner,
head in my hands.
Tears soak my face,
darkness is all around.

Not much time left,
before I feel nothing.

Calling out to you,
no response to receive.
I take another breath,
just before my last.

Not much time left,
before I'm gone.
