To you

by Miss Lonely Teacher   Mar 9, 2011

Dear C., my love,
I was in a mood. so? forget me.
I listened to our song to see
if hidden deep inside there'd be
so lame profound meaning.

but instead I found the reason why
you turned and left when I
finally thought I'd shown you how to fly.
well. there's no more tears to cry.

I tore myself apart that day
because i never got to say
that no matter what i wouldn't go away
and leave you a broken stray

you claimed you had no one
and threatened your life with a gun.
yet everyday to you I'd run
I'M DONE.

you turned away and
forced my hand

now I've broken
that one small token

that was all i had to give
in hopes you'd choose to live

and stand by my side
so we'd never have to hide.

so I'm writing you this poem
as i sit, through with crying, at home
and I know you'll read this alone
because you've chilled this promise to the bone.

i watched the pieces shatter
so indifferent to the matter.
eyes turned at such a loud clatter.
"Our Promise" lies in tatters.

I just Don't Care.
Love, your Moon Rose
