For you Brittany

by Miss Lonely Teacher   Mar 18, 2011

When we were kids it was just us
nothing else mattered.
you to me; I to him; he to you.
a circle, so perfect; complete.
we couldn't ask for more.
then we all separated...
when we rejoined, it was just me and you.
and you were the stars to me.
but we lost you...
now it's just me and him; has he forgotten?
it seems you're taboo; gone forever.
but that can't be it, i can't rest
knowing you could still be out there.
i can feel you. please shine your sparkling starlight
my way, so we can meet
even just once more for goodbye...

--this is a poem for my cousin whom i haven't seen in years and desperatly miss--
