The Child Inside

by Jeff Weiner   Mar 26, 2011

Toys we gained through the years
Playing in a world our own,
Mostly to hide our lonely tears,
Still wondering when we had grown,

As adults our toys have changed
Now playing at bigger cost,
Bicycles and go carts exchanged
Questioning when our childhood was lost,

Deep inside, the child we see
Wanting to come out and play,
Occasionally we set them free
Reliving our long lost day

Asking where our childhood went is a popular topic, and you did it well mate. Thanks for sharing the thoughts on PnQ. Best of luck!

Your title draws the reader in immediately. simple, straight and hard hitting verse. lovely!

Amazing, I already mentioned the upper case thingy in a previous comment, so for less babbling..aamzing..

I too wonder what happens to my childhood years, and when did I grow up..

and I too miss, being silly..
