A Sound that Connects this World (Colab) -Marcus & Tavaughn-

by Marcus blake   Apr 1, 2011

In was in this madness that my genius came to be
Yes the terror of transformation, and morbid screams were simply
To good to me...
And like a song that plays on and on
this nightmare is one that shall haunt me forever
Forever and a day, for added effect
The oncoming torture of change was what I'd expect, but
It did something different
It took its time and slowly took what was mine, and
I tried to stay sane inside insanity, but
The Grey light got caught between black and white, and
I couldn't find myself...
The world turns its self to my hatred, even the wind betrays me
And like a story I find myself in the midst of a legend once again
Destiny waits for no one just as death does not greet its prey
It is a doomed fate but it is a fate I'm proud to bear
The wind blows me out of my element and takes me to another place
Concrete butterflies struggle to flutter as I struggle with what I've become
I am a monster
I am undesirable
My smell scares the flowers into an instant wilt and my face haunts dreams
I am free
Purgatory was a fickle past I've dreamed time and time again
So what more of me does this world desire...
I want to hear that beautiful song and smell the roses blossoming
Shadows are abound for within this twisted world
I've found all I'll ever need
So goodbye nightmares, I've no need of doubtful dreams
Not anymore...
