This Hell

by shadow   Apr 3, 2011

This room is getting smaller, each breath a bit harder
Found the bottom and there's nowhere to escape
I try to dig myself out of this hole with these bare hands
But it's only more skin that I manage to scrape

There is a very thin fine line
Lying between this happiness and pain
Depression wounding the best of us, cutting so deep
Left to bleed here alone, cuffed and chained

I am merely a shadow cast along the surface
Always below your feet or behind some crack
How did I get here, so empty and lifeless
Sadness holding me down so I can't fight back

Been here before again and again
I know it all too well
Too young to be faced with such demons
But there's just no escaping this hell

Please just let me die.
