Hold You One More Time

by Ten Feet Tall   Jun 20, 2004

If I could hold you one more time,
I could feel your warmth,
See your wonderful smile,
Hear your liquid voice,
Feel your strength one more time.

Your warmth.
Just the touch of your hand on mine,
Brushing shoulders in the hall,
Or holding you in my arms,
Warms me to the soul,
Like the sunshine on a warm summer's day.

Your smile.
Whether I say something funny,
Dumb,
Or out of the ordinary,
You always will be smiling,
The most gorgeous smile in the world!

Your voice.
Comforting me when I'm down,
Correcting me when I'm wrong,
Venting to me when you're upset,
Your voice could calm the sea,
So soothing to listen to.

Your strength.
Hugging me,
Grabbing my arms in attempt to scare me,
Sitting together with your arm around me,
Makes me feel as if nothing were wrong in the world.
Loved.

How I wish I could hold you one more time,
To feel your warmth radiate towards me,
To see us happy and smiling together,
To listen to you for hours,
To be held in your powerful arms,
And knowing that everything is finally alright.
