His Vows

by Larry Chamberlin   Apr 24, 2011

Don't think I'm one to recriminate,
each of us must follow our course
but my banks overflow so often
that I've fertile fields you'll endorse.

When you seek a change of fate
dare to charge bastions with me!
reward's in havoc we wreak
not what someone else would decree.

Intense passions will us await
following each our own chosen path
we engage each other in ways
that others could never do the math.

I want a strong independent mate
to travel throughout this lifetime
the highest mount we could ever face
awards us with a wondrous climb.
