Narcissus

by H. Elizabeth   May 11, 2011

**Another poem for my English project.**

So handsome was he.
A long life he had ahead of him.
That is, he would if he never saw his own reflection.
But he did see his own reflection.
He grabbed at his reflection in the pond.
Then he was gone.
A flower of beauty blooms for Narcissus's memory.

**Narcissus was the most handsome man. He was told he'd have a long life if he never saw his own reflection, but one day he saw his reflection in a pond. Narcissus was struck with beauty so he tried grabbed the reflection. Of course, it didn't work. Narcissus fell into the pond and died.**
