Echo

by H. Elizabeth   May 12, 2011

**For my English project.**

Cursed by Hera,
Forced to repeat the words of others,
Repeat the words of others.
When she fell madly in love with Narcissus,
She could not tell him how she felt,
How she felt.
She kept repeating Narcissus's words and that aggravated him,
Aggravated him.
Narcissus never knew how she felt,
For she could never tell him,
For she could never tell him.
Forced to repeat the words of others,
Poor Echo, poor Echo.
Echo.
Echo.

**Echo had been playing tricks on Hera, and when Hera realized that, she cursed Echo to always repeat the words of others. Echo loved Narcissus, but could never tell him how she felt because she couldn't speak her own words. In the Greek myths, this is how Echos were explained.**
